CWL News  … from Joleene Kemp

Hot off the Press!!!

Linda Squarzolo, our Provincial President for the 2022-2024 term, has provided her theme for the next 2 years.

She is asking us as individuals and as councils to
´GO MAKE A DIFFERENCE’.
This theme ties in nicely with our National theme of ´Catholic and Living It!´
#GoMakeADifference #catholicandlivingit! #CWL

Put your thinking caps on…what can we as a council do and what might you as an individual be able to do…lots to share when we gather…

Peace,
Joleene

100th C.W.L. ANNIVERSARY GIFT TO OUR PRAYER GARDEN

In 2020 the Catholic Women’s League of Canada celebrated 100 years of Ministry in our nation and many League Councils have marked the anniversary in a variety of ways.
Our own Cathedral members decided to memorialize the jubile by
donating a large and beautifully flowering hydrangea bush to beautify our Cathedral’s main Prayer Garden.

Many thanks to our Parish League Council, to Rita Legarde and Jeanette Pyrick for planting it and to Erick Villanueva for taking these photos. The plant and area will be dedicated with a souvenir commemoration plaque and formally blessed later this summer.
